Visiting Diemerscheg on the human scale you can experience the claustrophoby of cutted into pieces land, which has contaminated the Dutch landscape on a national scale. Ijmeer - once a dynamic sea, now a still lake facing ecological problems. One of the main problems caused by the stillnes of the water is the accumulation of silt on the bottom of the lake and second is lack of connection between the neighbourhoods and the lake. With this project I was aiming to solve the ecological problem of IJmeer and bring back the movement to this still landscape- movement of both landscape and people. I have designed a porous line which works with the process of wind to accumulate the moving silt along the newly added line. The lines bring back the vertical relation between the land and water. Small cubes which are tiny spaces to hide clean up the bottom of the lake from accumulated silt, serving both people and the landscape.
